CNC drilling machining extruded heat sink
Precision CNC milled aluminum heat sinks are produced by combining an extruded aluminum radiator profile with drilling and CNC machining. The extruded structure provides the heat-dissipation surface, while secondary machining allows the part to incorporate mounting holes, component interfaces, pockets, cutouts or other features required by the electronic assembly.
The primary function is to transfer heat away from electronic components used in electrical appliances and electronic products. Aluminum extrusion is well suited to repeated fin and channel geometries, while CNC processing allows the base and mounting areas to be finished according to the component layout.
Anodizing and plating are available as surface-finishing options. The finished heat sink can therefore be supplied as a customized thermal component with both extrusion geometry and machined installation features integrated into one part.
